Obituary

The Todd County Funeral Home is honored to have been called to serve the family of Mr. Tom Collins.  

 

Mr. Collins, age 87 of Fairview, passed away on Friday, April 7th at his home of natural causes.  

 

He was born February 6, 1936, in Allegre, Kentucky son of the late Gene Thomas Collins and Ruthelle Lindsey. 

 

He served in the National Guard, was Baptist by faith, retired from HWEA and was a Kentucky Colonel. He loved golfing, woodworking, fishing and being outdoors.  

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Collins and one sister, Francies Coombs.  He is survived by his daughter, Lynn Collins of Fairview; three brothers, Bob Collins of Franklin, Tennessee, Ray Collins of Russellville and Mike Collins of Guthrie. 

 

Visitation with the Collins family will be held on Thursday, April 13th from 4:00 until memorial service time at 6:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Reverend Tommy Wilhite officiating.
