Vickie Marie Petrie

Ms. Vickie Marie Petrie, age 67 of Elkton, passed away on December 28, 2021 at the Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville, Tennessee of natural causes. 

Vickie was born February 1, 1954 in Todd County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Ephriam "Murphy" Petrie and Lee Belle Sherrod Petrie. 

She was an active member of the Phillips Chapel CME Church in Elkton and retired after twenty-nine years from Hearthstone Place Nursing Home in Elkton. She loved her family, the community, cooking at the Community House for the Rotary Club and collecting cookbooks. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Lee Mitchell; a sister, Joyce Rucker and a nephew, Adrian Jenkins.  She is survived by three brothers, Garland Petrie (Ruth) of Indianapolis, Indiana, Ephriam Petrie III of Indianapolis, Indiana and Mark Petrie of Elkton; two sisters, Esther Jenkins (Jimmy) of Woodbridge, Virginia and Carol Petrie of Elkton; four nephews, three nieces and a host of cousins and friends. 

Visitation with the Petrie family will be on Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 1:00 until funeral service time at 3:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Reverends Frank Johnson, Lisa Balboa and David Petrie officiating.  Interment to follow at a later date.
