Virginia Ann Thompson

The Todd County Funeral Home is honored to have been called to serve the family of Mrs. Virginia Ann Thompson.

Virginia Ann Thompson, age 89 of Paducah and formerly of Elkton, passed away on Saturday, July 1st at her home.

She was born January 27, 1934 in Sewanee, Tennessee the daughter of the late Jim and Macie Hill Francis.

She was a member of Petrie Memorial United Methodist Church, UMC Women, taught Sunday School and was retired from the Todd County Board of Education as a teacher. She loved her family and enjoyed doing crafts.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Thompson; a brother, John Francis and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Shelton. She is survived by a son, Robert Thompson (Carolee) of Paducah.

There will be a graveside service on Friday, July 7th at 11:00 at the Glenwood Cemetery in Elkton with Rev. Willard Knipp and Carol Parker officiating.
