Franklin “Kennard” Covington known as “Nardo”, age 29 of Auburn, passed away on Wednesday, May 31 2017 at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
He was born August 3, 1987 in Russellville, Kentucky the son of Thaddeus James Covington, Jr. and Marla Todd.
He was a graduate of the Logan County High School and attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Nashville, Tennessee. He was a former employee with Macy’s and Tractor Supply. He enjoyed spending time and playing with his children, listening to music, spending time with his family, cooking and traveling. He had a contagious smile and an unforgettable laugh.
He was preceded in death by one brother Ronald Chatman; paternal grandparents Thaddeus Covington, Sr. and Jean Covington; maternal grandparents William “Franklin” and Lucille Virigina Todd and one aunt Teresa Green.
He is survived by his father Thaddeus James Covington, Jr. (Nannie) of Franklin, Kentucky; his mother Marla Todd (Ricky) of Bowling Green, Kentucky; five sons Kenyrin, Kyndle, Kemar, Kani and Kylan Covington; four daughters Khloe, Ka’Moni, Kylie and Keairyn Covington; three brothers Thaddeus Tremain, Darone and Jevon Covington; five sisters Monisha Todd, Johnquesha Gatewood, Tasia Covington, Deyonna Nolan and Rechelle Chatman and step grandmother Betty Nolan.
Visitation with the family will be on Monday, June 5th from 10:00 until the funeral service time at 1:00 at the Logan County High School Gymnasium in Russellville, Kentucky with Pastor Colby Barnett officiating and Rev. Marius Beard eulogy. Interment will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery in Russellville.
