Mr. James “Jim” Lanham, age 82 of Clarksville and formerly of Guthrie, passed away on Saturday morning August 8th at his home of natural causes.
He was born October 3, 1932 in Madisonville, Kentucky the son of the late John and Georgie Arron Lanham. He was a member of Tiny Town Baptist Church. He was a veteran in the Army where he served in the Korean War. He loved his family, hunting, fishing and camping.
He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his wife Shirley Lanham (2005). He is survived by one son Jeff Lanham of Guthrie; two daughters Janice Poindexter of Clarksville and Karen Sabin of Hermitage; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Visitation with the Lanham family will be on Tuesday from 11:00 until funeral service time at 1:00 at Cook-Webb Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled to be conducted on Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 in the Chapel of the Cook-Webb Funeral Home with Larry Brown officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Guthrie.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Saint Jude Medical Center.
