Sanford Earnest

Mr. Sanford Earnest, age 85 of Elkton, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2015 at his home of natural causes.

He was born December 14, 1929 in Beachfork, West Virginia the son of the late Daniel and Bannie Wolfe Earnest.  He served in the United States Navy where he was in the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents as well as one daughter Connie Jean Earnest (1981); one brother Arlie Ray Earnest and one sister Wenona Saverzoff.  He is survived by one son Sanford Berl Earnest Jr. of Oregon; one daughter Denith E. Stephenson of Eugene, Oregon; three brothers Dwight Earnest of Arkansas, John Earnest of Clarksville and Charles Earnest of Tazwell, Virginia; two sisters Judith Smith of Lukes, Florida and Joleen Weigand of North Carolina.  Also surviving are eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

There will be no visitation or funeral at the Todd County Funeral Home.  All services will be held at the Westlawn Evergreen Funeral Home in Eugene, Oregon with interment to follow at the Oakhill Cemetery in Eugene, Oregon.
